Join the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne
If you are interested in joining the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, you need to know members are “invested” at “Chapitres”. Traditionally, each Chapitre includes an induction and elevation ceremony, followed by a tasting of prestige cuvées and a gala dinner at which only vintage or special cuvées are served. These ceremonies are conducted by “Dignitaires” from Reims or by the UK Consul, the North of England holds investiture ceremonies either annually or every other year depending upon numbers of applicants.
The annual membership fee provides the following benefits :
Access to the Members’ Area and international directory on the OCC France website
Regular newsletters with information on the Ordre’s activities and on the Champagne region
Participation in the Chapitres of the Ordre in France and abroad at preferential rates
Sponsorship of future members
Confidential tours of Champagne Houses
Applicants for membership must complete the application form and will need to be proposed and seconded by current members.
Annual subscriptions are, currently, £80 per annum (of which 80 Euros is passed to the Headquarters in Reims) and the one-off investiture fee for the rank of Chevalier is £100.
In our Consulate we endeavour to keep the charge for each formal dinner in the range of £125 – £185 per person with invested members receiving a discounted rate.
